THE CIRCUS ARTS & THEIR REWARDS

Learning important personal skills such as trust and communication are the fundamentals of

circus training. Overcoming physical and mental challenges are everyday experiences

for a circus performer, making circus groups and workshops highly effective for building self-esteem

and improving valuable life skills.

The circus arts have served as a basis for morale boosting programs for youth around the world by organizations that

realize the important fundamental values associated with circus training. By promoting positive activities, kids are

inspired and encouraged to augment team and leadership skills, boost self-respect, strengthen self-discipline,

and build emotional resilience through skill development and positive reinforcement.
Often a struggle in the beginning, achieving those physical goals is a fantastic confidence enhancer that

cultivates awareness of strength, stamina, posture, balance and hand-eye coordination –
and an appreciation of health and fitness that lasts a lifetime.

Using all of these tools to support and encourage developing minds, Canadian National Youth Circus

projects seek to foster original artistic experience and personal expression.
